Cosmopole Hostel

Spalena 83/3

Dear travelers, to celebrate our first season, we invite you to enjoy a drink in the evening or a free breakfast in the morning with us on our Sky Terrace, where you can take in the spectacular view, east to the old court building where Kafka toiled away, south to verdant Charles Square - the largest square in Europe, and west over ancient tile roofs and the famous spires of Prague to a sunset view of Petrin Hill and the Hunger Wall - built in 1361 during a kind of very early edition of the Hunger Games!

Cosmopole is the newest hostel in Prague City Centre. Welcome. We are large, with a wide variety of room sizes (2,4,6,8,10,12 beds). Enjoy the restored old hardwood floors and gorgeous original wall and ceiling mouldings. Cosmopole is spread over our six floor building (with elevator, of course!), and all is spacious, with wide hallways and grand new bathrooms on all floors ... and best of all, we turned over the entire top floor to common activities – no beds, just big rooms and outdoor terrace for all to meet, relax, play games, have breakfast in the morning or a drink in the evening, and enjoy. All our receptionists speak a minimum of 3 languages. They are trained to help you make this travel destination your best ever. We are sure you will feel at home with us.

We are centrally located (just a few steps from all the riverside and major attractions, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants) in the most beautiful ancient city in the heart of Europe. Very close to train

Bus station Florenc (UAN Florenc) - 6mins.

It’s a no-brainer from Florenc Bus Station. You can choose either Tram or Metro (Subway).

By Tram - The word for “where is” in Czech sounds exactly like the Australian greeting “G’day”. Ask anyone “G’day Tram?” and they will show you which exit to take to reach the tram stations above ground. Take Tram 3, with destination Sidliste Modrany or Nadrazi Branik displayed on the front. Get out at the sixth stop, “Lazarska”. Walk 20 meters ahead to the end of Lazarska and cross Spalena Street. Turn left and walk 50 meters to Cosmopole. Welcome.

By Metro (Subway) - Easy again. Enter the stairway for the Metro Station “Florenc”. Once you are down the escalator to the platform, get on the Metro train with destination Zlicin. Get off at the third stop, “Narodni Trida”. You can take the two elevators at the front of the Metro train to Lazarska (where you will see the tram stop mentioned above), and go to the end of Lazarska where you will cross Spalena Street. Cosmopole is 50 meters to the left. Alternatively, leave the Metro on escalators at the rear of the train and exit to Spalena Street. It is a 5 minute walk to the left to Cosmopole at Spalena 3. Welcome.

Bus station Na Knizeci - 7mins.

Another no-brainer. Enter the stairway for the Metro Station “Andel”. Once you are down the escalator to the platform, get on the Metro train with destination “Cerny Most”. Get off at the second stop, “Narodni Trida”. You can take the two e
