Kipps is a great place to stay with a nice homely feel with excellent facilities. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about Canterbury and surrounding areas in Kent.
If you are looking to visit a beautiful English City, with lots of history and charm, then Canterbury is the place to visit.
Kipps caters for all types of groups – both small & large including School Visits, City Breaks and accommodation for overseas students. Our multi-lingual friendly staff have many years’ experience in the hospitality industry, and dealing with groups from all over the world. The feedback from groups, has always been excellent, with groups now returning year on year.
We offer a variety of rooms, from dormitory rooms to private rooms including single/ twin and double rooms.
We also offer a large garden, with BBQ area/ pool table and gardens games. A lounge with digital tv/ xbox and wii. We also offer meals at Kipps Canterbury including a continental breakfast, packed lunch and a choice of evening meals. If you prefer to cater for the group yourself, we do offer a well-equipped large self-catering kitchen.

Arriving to Canterbury By Train

Trains run frequently from London Victoria/ London Bridge Train Stations, Dover and other locations in the South East to Canterbury East and Canterbury West Stations.

The nearest station to Kipps is Canterbury East from the Train Station follow the directions below or click/ print out the map below.

Canterbury East Station (10 minute walk)

Turn right out of station on Station Road E and look for the sign that says "Hospital and Colleges" and follow the footpath (along Rhodaus Close). Walk over the railway bridge. (halfway up on your right)

At the end of the path turn left on to Oxford Road and then left again at Norman Road .

At the top of Norman Road turn right into Nunnery Fields, We are just up the road on the left.

Walking Distance. Approx 9mins

Canterbury West Station (30 minute walk)

Turn right out of station, and then left onto St.Dunstan's Street. Walk through the West Gate Towers, then walk to the end of the main high street to the bus station (St Georges Street).

At the roundabout, take the underpass - 2nd exit onto Upper Bridge turn left onto Dover Street, which leads onto Oaten Hill .

Walk Up Oaten Hill and cross the traffic lights leading onto Nunnery Fields. the hostel is halfway up on the left
