The information we collect is that which is necessary to fulfil the booking process and any associated requests you make. We require your full name, email, nationality, gender, and payment details. The email address you provide will be used to receive your booking confirmation as well as any other correspondence we may need to send you relating to your booking. Your submitted name, email address, and / or contact number (if submitted) will be included in your accommodation provider’s booking notification so that they may contact you directly if needed. Furthermore, we also collect some certain information through Google Analytics such as the device you use to access our website, your IP address and what browser you use and these are important in instances of technical support or rectifying technical issues relating to your booking. In order to control the collection of data through Google Analytics you may like to consider installing browser addon: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not use your personal data to tailor adverts and marketing, nor do we share with, exchange, sell to or otherwise provide your data to third parties for such purposes.
Because we collect only necessary personal data from you in order to successfully process your bookings, related requests, and facilitate related services we aim to retain your information for no longer than considered necessary - this includes a reasonable length of time following the completion of your stay at the booked accommodation provider to allow you to rate & review the property and experience, and to extend to you the opportunity to contribute to the platform and community of users.
In order to process your booking successfully we have to send your booking details to the property which you have booked. This includes your name, your e-mail address, your nationality, your gender, arrival time, and your telephone number (if provided). Once in receipt of said information, the independent accommodation provider is wholly responsible for handling & storing this data as per legal requirements in their jurisdiction and all other applicable laws & regulations.
We do not share your credit or debit card details with the property and we do not store your CCV code.
In cases of 'no-show' or application of the property's cancellation policy as per the terms & conditions of service, your card will be charged accordingly on behalf of the property. We do not provide the property with your payment information at any time. We use a SSL certificate to secure all transactions and any applicable charges are processed by a trusted, secure & reputable payment portal.
